The Training and Placement Cell of Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, successfully organized a Campus Placement Drive in collaboration with leading pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing direct job placement opportunities for final-year B.Pharm and D.Pharm students. The event began with a welcome address by Principal Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, emphasizing the importance of industry connections, followed by Mr. J. Vinoth, Associate Professor and Head of Pharmaceutics, introducing the participating companies. Dr. Koumaravelou, Managing Partner of Naalvar Diagnostics Drugs, delivered a lecture on the growing demand for generic pharmacies. The recruitment process included personal interviews and group discussions conducted by Naalvar Diagnostics Drugs and Pradhan Mantri Janaushadhi Kendra, culminating in the distribution of spot offer letters by Dr. T. Ananth, Chairman of Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions. Students engaged in interactive discussions with recruiters, gaining valuable career insights and exploring opportunities in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The drive was a major success, reinforcing the college’s commitment to enhancing student employability and industry collaboration, with recruiters praising the students’ knowledge and readiness and students expressing gratitude for the well-organized, insightful process.
