Faculty Development Programme – Advancing Scientific Writing for Research Proposals and Research Papers – 28th December 2024

The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Advancing Scientific Writing for Research Proposals and Research Papers" was successfully conducted at Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, on December 28, 2024. The program aimed to boost the scientific writing skills of faculty members from pharmacy, medical and allied medical disciplines. Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, Principal, extended a warm welcome, emphasizing the program's objective of enhancing scientific writing skills. Dr. T. Ananth, Chairman of Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions, delivered an inspiring presidential address, urging participants to embrace effective research communication. Dr. K. Venkateshwaran, Vice-Principal & Chief Scientific Coordinator of S. A. Raja Pharmacy College, conducted the main scientific session. Participants from various colleges under Sir Issac Newton Institutions actively engaged in sessions covering structuring research proposals and papers, strategies for impactful scientific writing and ethical considerations in research publications. A discussion on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rajas Medical Institutions added a collaborative dimension. The event featured ceremonial inaugurations, motivational addresses, interactive discussions and expert-led sessions, creating an enriching experience. This initiative reinforces the institution's dedication to academic and professional growth through skill development and partnerships.
