One-Day Academic Visit (Second Batch) to Sophisticated Research Facility with Hands-on Training (HOT) at Anna University, Tiruchirappalli

On 16 December 2025, the B. Pharm Final Year (VIII Semester) – Second Batch students (06 Nos.), accompanied by Dr. Abinaya, Faculty Member, visited the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, BIT Campus, Anna University, Tiruchirappalli, for a One-Day Academic Visit to a Sophisticated Research Facility with Hands-on Training (HOT). During the visit, Post-Doctoral Fellows and Ph.D. Research Scholars provided detailed explanations and hands-on demonstrations of advanced research instruments such as the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Plethysmograph System, Gel Electrophoresis Unit, UPLC System, Particle Size Analyzer, and Zeta Potential Analyzer, emphasizing their applications and significance in pharmaceutical research and development. Dr. P. Selvamani, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, BIT Campus, Anna University, interacted with the students and shared valuable insights on government-funded research schemes, research opportunities, and skill enhancement strategies essential for professional growth in the pharmaceutical sector. The students gained substantial exposure to the department’s research and academic activities through interactive discussions and hands-on sessions. The visit enabled them to effectively correlate theoretical concepts with practical applications, making it a highly enriching academic experience. We sincerely thank our Management for their continuous support in organizing such academic initiatives. We also extend our special thanks to Dr. P. Selvamani and the faculty members of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology for kindly accommodating the second batch of students and providing this valuable learning opportunity.
