SINCOP Students Gain Hands-On Training at Sophisticated Research Facility, Anna University

Our B. Pharm final-year project students (9 Nos.), accompanied by Dr. Abinaya (guided by Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, Principal, SINCOP), visited the Sophisticated Research Facility at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, BIT Campus, Anna University, Tiruchirappalli, for an intensive one-day hands-on training program. During the visit, Post-Doctoral Fellows and Ph.D. Research Scholars provided detailed demonstrations and practical sessions on advanced analytical instruments such as the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Plethysmograph System, Gel Electrophoresis Unit, UPLC System, Particle Size and Zeta Potential Analyzer, and other state-of-the-art equipment, emphasizing their significance and applications in pharmaceutical research. The students also interacted with Dr. P. Selvamani, Professor and Head of the Department, who shared valuable insights on government-funded research schemes, research skill development, and opportunities for aspiring pharmaceutical professionals. This academic visit offered a meaningful platform for students to gain research exposure, understand ongoing departmental activities, and strengthen the connection between theoretical learning and practical application. Selvamani for hosting the visit and providing exceptional guidance to our students.
