Pharm.D Inauguration Ceremony – Welcoming the First Batch (2025–2031)

The Pharm.D Inauguration Programme for the First Batch (2025–2031) was held with great enthusiasm on 5th November 2025 at 10.00 a.m. in the Conference Hall of Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions, Nagapattinam. The event marked a momentous occasion in the academic history of Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, symbolizing the institution’s continuous progress and commitment towards excellence in pharmaceutical and clinical education. The ceremony commenced with the melodious rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the auspicious Lighting of the Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries on the dais, signifying the triumph of knowledge and enlightenment. Mrs. R. Vanitha Devi, M.Pharm., Vice Principal, delivered the Welcome Address, extending heartfelt greetings to the distinguished guests, faculty members, students, and parents. The programme was graced by eminent personalities including Dr. T. Ananth, M.B.A., Ph.D., Chairman, Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions, who delivered the Presidential Address. In his address, he emphasized the vital role of the Pharm.D curriculum in shaping competent, compassionate, and clinically skilled pharmacy professionals equipped to meet global healthcare demands. Felicitation addresses were delivered by Dr. K. Elangovan, Ph.D., Registrar, Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions; Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, M.Pharm., Ph.D., Principal, Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy; and Dr. R. Prema, M.Pharm., Ph.D., L.L.B., IQAC Director (Pharmacy & Physiotherapy) and Principal, AHS & DMLT. The dignitaries lauded the college for introducing the Pharm.D programme and motivated the students to uphold academic integrity, professional ethics, and a spirit of service in the field of healthcare. Dr. P. Abinaya, Pharm.D., Programme Coordinator, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the management, dignitaries, faculty members, students, and parents for their support and participation. The event concluded with the National Anthem, evoking a sense of pride and unity among all present. The inauguration of the Pharm.D programme stands as a proud milestone in the journey of Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, heralding a new era of professional education dedicated to producing skilled and ethical healthcare practitioners.
