Workshop on Smart Science: AI in Scientific Writing & Hands-on Training in 3D Printing

On August 14, 2025, Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, successfully organized a workshop on “SMART SCIENCE: AI in Scientific Writing & Hands-on Training in 3D Printing” in the Seminar Hall under the auspices of IQAC. The event was inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, Principal, followed by the felicitation address delivered by Dr. K. Elangovan, Registrar, SINEI. Dr. R. Prema, IQAC Director, introduced the distinguished resource person, Dr. N. Sriram, Principal & Professor, Usha College of Pharmacy, Jharkhand, and Managing Director, Genesis Research Labs, Hyderabad. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. R. Vanitha Devi. The workshop featured two engaging sessions: the morning session focused on practical applications of AI tools in scientific writing, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in research, while the afternoon session provided hands-on training in 3D printing, enabling participants to design and prototype real-time models. The programme was well-coordinated by Mrs. R. Vanitha Devi, Mr. J. Vinoth, Ms. A. S. Arisha Sri, Dr. R. Sabeetha, Ms. K. Gowsalya, and Mr. V. Balachandru, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event. The workshop was well-received by faculty members and students from various colleges, who appreciated the interactive approach and practical insights. The college expresses its sincere gratitude to the Management, Chairman, and Registrar for their constant encouragement and support in making this workshop a grand success.
