Placement Training – Mastering the Art of Resume Writing

The Training and Placement Cell of Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy organized a presentation on "Mastering the Art of Resume Writing" on 22nd January 2025 at the Seminar Hall, SINCOP, conducted by Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, Principal of the college. Aimed at final-year B.Pharm students, the session emphasized the importance of a well-crafted resume as a critical tool for making a strong first impression on potential employers. The presentation was structured into various segments, covering the significance of resumes, essential components, formatting techniques, common mistakes to avoid, and tailoring resumes for different job roles, with additional insights on using industry-relevant keywords to enhance job prospects. Dr. C. Senthil Kumar provided practical tips and real-world examples, enabling students to craft professional resumes that stand out in competitive job applications, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector. Students found the session highly informative and beneficial for their career development, appreciating the practical knowledge and strategies shared. Positive feedback was received, with many students suggesting future workshops on interview skills, cover letter writing, and career development strategies, which the Training and Placement Cell is considering to further support students in their job search journey.
