World Organ Donation Day 2026 Awareness Programme

Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, organized an Awareness Programme on Organ Donation and its Importance on the occasion of World Organ Donation Day 2026 to create awareness among students about the life-saving potential of organ donation and its significance in saving lives. The programme was conducted with the continuous support and encouragement of Dr. T. Ananth, Chairman; Dr. K. Elangovan, Registrar; Dr. R. Prema, Principal; and Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, Programme Coordinator. The programme was organized by the students within their respective classrooms under the guidance of the concerned faculty members. Through awareness activities and student-led presentations, participants highlighted the importance of organ donation, the need to create awareness among the public and the valuable contribution of organ donors towards giving hope and a second chance at life. The programme encouraged students and faculty members to understand the social importance of organ donation and become ambassadors for spreading awareness about this noble cause.
