Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, successfully organized a Mass Anti-Drug Awareness Programme with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting the importance of maintaining a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. The programme was conducted with the esteemed support and guidance of Dr. T. Ananth, Chairman; Dr. K. Elangovan, Registrar; Dr. R. Prema, Principal; and Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, IQAC Coordinator. Their continued encouragement and support contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the programme. As part of the awareness programme, Mr. Singaravelu, Sub-Inspector of Police, delivered an informative session highlighting the harmful consequences of drug abuse and the importance of preventing substance misuse among young people. Mr. Sundharayya, Special Sub-Inspector, Nagapattinam Police Department, administered the Anti-Drug Pledge, encouraging students to take a responsible stand against drug abuse and contribute towards building a drug-free society. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the faculty members and students, who actively supported the awareness initiative. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from the participants to promote a healthy, responsible and drug-free society.
