IQAC Organizes Orientation Programme on “Mastering the Academic Journey: Practical Strategies for Excellence”

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, successfully organized an Orientation Programme on “Mastering the Academic Journey: Practical Strategies for Excellence” on 03 August 2026 for the faculty members. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Mr. J. Vinoth, Vice Principal, who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of continuous professional development and quality enhancement in higher education. Dr. R. Prema, M.Pharm., Ph.D., LL.B., Principal, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, effective teaching-learning practices, research, institutional quality culture and the collective responsibility of faculty members in achieving continuous institutional growth and excellence. The technical session was delivered by Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, M.Pharm., Ph.D., IQAC Coordinator and Professor & Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, who provided valuable insights into academic planning, outcome-based education, innovative teaching methodologies, research and publication practices, documentation, NAAC quality parameters and professional development. The session also focused on practical strategies for enhancing teaching effectiveness, maintaining quality documentation and strengthening institutional best practices. Faculty members actively participated in the interactive session, engaging in meaningful discussions and sharing ideas to further enhance academic quality, research culture and institutional excellence.
