Orientation Programme on NAAC Accreditation: Fundamentals, Tips and Tricks for Success

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, successfully organized an Orientation Programme on "NAAC Accreditation: Fundamentals, Tips and Tricks for Success" on 17th July 2026 at the Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted with the objective of familiarizing faculty members with the principles of NAAC accreditation, quality assurance mechanisms, institutional documentation, and best practices essential for achieving excellence in higher education. The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. T. Ananth, Chairman, and Dr. K. Elangovan, Registrar, Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions. The session commenced with a welcome address by Mr. J. Vinoth, Vice Principal, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of cultivating a quality culture within the institution. Dr. R. Prema, M.Pharm., Ph.D., LL.B., Principal, delivered the inaugural address, highlighting the pivotal role of IQAC in promoting continuous quality enhancement, academic excellence, and institutional development. The technical session was delivered by Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, M.Pharm., Ph.D., IQAC Coordinator and Professor & Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, who provided a comprehensive overview of the NAAC accreditation framework, seven assessment criteria, documentation practices, institutional best practices, and effective strategies for preparing a successful accreditation process. He also shared practical tips on maintaining quality records, strengthening outcome-based education, and fostering continuous improvement across academic and administrative domains. The programme concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which faculty members actively participated by sharing their views and clarifying queries related to NAAC accreditation and quality initiatives. The orientation programme significantly enhanced the participants' understanding of quality assurance practices and reinforced the institution's commitment to achieving academic excellence and institutional distinction.
