SINCOP Students Secure Second Prize in E-Poster Presentation at National Seminar on Green Chemistry and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Development

Greetings from Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Pappakovil, Nagapattinam. Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy is delighted to share that its students and faculty members actively participated in the National Seminar on “Green Chemistry and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Development” organized by Dr. Kalam College of Pharmacy, Avanam, Thanjavur on 12 and 13 June 2026, and brought laurels to the institution through their commendable academic performance. A proud highlight of the event was the achievement of Mr. K. Mohan and Ms. Fathima Nasrin, B.Pharm IV Year students, who secured Second Prize in the E-Poster Presentation under the guidance of Mrs. M. Shalini, Assistant Professor. Their achievement reflects their dedication, innovative thinking, and academic excellence in presenting research-oriented ideas on contemporary pharmaceutical themes. Adding distinction to the institution’s participation, Dr. R. Prema, Principal, Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, served as the Chairperson for the national seminar. Her role in the programme brought honour to the institution and highlighted its growing academic presence in scientific and professional forums. The seminar served as an excellent platform for students and faculty members to gain exposure to recent developments in green chemistry, sustainable pharmaceutical development, and eco-friendly approaches in pharmaceutical sciences. Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy also proudly acknowledges Mr. V. Balachandru, Lecturer, who presented an E-Poster during the seminar and received a Certificate of Appreciation for his presentation. His participation and recognition added further pride to the institution’s academic contributions at the event. The seminar witnessed remarkable participation from Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, with a total of 56 students from B.Pharm, Pharm.D, and D.Pharm programmes along with three faculty members, namely Mr. J. Vinoth, Mr. V. Balachandru, and Ms. T. Subalakshmi. Together, the participants presented 27 E-Posters, reflecting their strong academic involvement, research interest, and enthusiasm for scientific presentation. All the E-Poster presentations were guided by five faculty members, whose mentorship and encouragement played an important role in helping the students confidently showcase their work. The seminar provided a valuable opportunity for the participants to interact with experts, exchange ideas, and gain meaningful insights into sustainable pharmaceutical practices and the role of green chemistry in modern drug development. The academic exposure gained through the seminar will undoubtedly contribute to the students’ professional growth and research orientation. The participation was effectively coordinated by Mrs. M. Aruna, Assistant Professor, whose efforts ensured the successful involvement of the students and faculty members in the seminar. Dr. T. Ananth, Chairman, Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions, congratulated the students and faculty members for their remarkable achievement and encouraged them to continue pursuing academic excellence and research-oriented learning.
