Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy Conducts First Graduation Ceremony

Greetings from Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Pappakovil, Nagapattinam. Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy proudly organized its First Graduation Ceremony on 07 June 2026 at 09.30 a.m. in the College Auditorium, marking a historic and memorable milestone in the academic journey of the institution. The ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and solemnity to honour the successful graduates and celebrate their academic accomplishments as they stepped into the noble profession of pharmacy. The programme commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by invocation and lamp lighting. A graceful welcome dance added vibrancy to the inaugural session. The gathering was formally welcomed by the organizers, and the event proceeded in the esteemed presence of distinguished dignitaries from the management and academic fraternity. The ceremony was graciously presided over by Dr. T. Ananth, MBA., Ph.D., Chairman, Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions. The function was honoured by the presence of Dr. R. Radha, M.Pharm., Ph.D., Joint Director of Medical Education and Research, Board of Pharmacy, Chennai, who participated as the Chief Guest and delivered the Graduation Day Address. Her address inspired the graduating students to uphold professional ethics, continue lifelong learning, and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare system through the pharmacy profession. The event was also graced by Thiru. T. Maheshwaran, B.Sc., DHMCT., Secretary, Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions, and Thiru. T. Shankar, M.Sc., Director, Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions. Dr. R. Prema, M.Pharm., Ph.D., LL.B., Principal, Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, along with faculty members, staff, parents, and invited guests, took part in the celebration and extended their heartfelt wishes to the graduates. A major highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking by the graduates, followed by the distribution of degree certificates to the graduating students. The occasion symbolized the successful completion of their academic journey and their formal induction into the pharmacy profession. The atmosphere was filled with pride and joy as the graduates received their certificates in the presence of their parents, faculty members, and dignitaries. Adding academic significance to the occasion, an official book release ceremony was also held during the programme. The book titled Advancements in Hepatoprotective Herbal Medicines (1st Edition, 2025), edited by Senthilkumar C., Prema R., Chandrasekaran P., and Ahemadi B., was formally released by the Chief Guest, Dr. R. Radha, during the function. The book release added scholarly value to the graduation ceremony and reflected the institution’s growing commitment towards academic publishing, research, and knowledge dissemination in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The publication was brought out by Genome Publications, Chennai. The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Management, Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, parents, alumni, students, and all well-wishers for their valuable support and contribution to the success of the event.
