Pharmacovigilance Career Development Programme Successfully Organized

Greetings from Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. The institution successfully organized a “Pharmacovigilance Career Development Programme” on 09th May 2026 at the Conference Hall, SINCOP, with the objective of enhancing students’ awareness about career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the fields of Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Management Systems. Mr. Ajmal Khan, M.Pharm., M.B.A., Business Head – TULIPS, QMS Specialist & Regulatory Affairs Strategist, Coimbatore, served as the Resource Person for the programme. He delivered an insightful and motivating session on Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Management Systems, highlighting current industry expectations, emerging trends, required professional skills, and diverse career opportunities available in the pharmaceutical sector. Around 130 students from B.Pharm III Year, B.Pharm IV Year, and Pharm.D I Year actively participated in the programme and gained valuable knowledge regarding career development and industry readiness. The session provided an excellent platform for students to improve their professional awareness and understand the practical scope of Pharmacovigilance and related healthcare industries. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Management of Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions. Dr. T. Ananth, Chairman, Dr. K. Elangovan, Registrar, and Dr. Arunkumar, Placement Director, extended their encouragement and support for the successful organization of the programme. Dr. R. Prema, Principal, along with the Placement Team and Faculty Members, coordinated the event successfully. The Management appreciated the active participation of the students and the efforts of the organizing committee in making the programme a grand success.
