ISSAC Sports Meet 2K26 – Overall Third Place Achievement

Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the Overall Third Place in the ISSAC Sports Meet 2K26 held on March 2026, competing among 11 institutions. This achievement reflects the students’ dedication, teamwork, and strong competitive spirit. The Men’s Chess Team secured First Place, demonstrating exceptional strategic skills and coordination. The team members were V. Arun (VIII Semester B.Pharm), S. Subash (III Semester B.Pharm), M. Guhan (VII Semester B.Pharm), V. Balapraveen (VII Semester B.Pharm), and A. Rakesh (I Semester B.Pharm). The Men’s Football Team secured Second Place, showcasing excellent teamwork and determination. The team included K. Kalaivishnu (VIII Semester B.Pharm), G. Souljar (VIII Semester B.Pharm), S. Farjith Aswan (VIII Semester B.Pharm), M. Mohammed Thasrik (VIII Semester B.Pharm), K. Ganesh (VII Semester B.Pharm), S. Neevithan (VII Semester B.Pharm), M. Mohammed Musameel (VII Semester B.Pharm), V. Pravin Kumar (VII Semester B.Pharm), J. Jagadeesan (VII Semester B.Pharm), K. Gunaseelan (VII Semester B.Pharm), along with S. Kalith Ahamed (III Semester B.Pharm), Mohammed Abdullah A.H. (III Semester B.Pharm), K. Aswin (III Semester B.Pharm), and Sai Prasanna A (I Semester B.Pharm). The Men’s Cricket Team also secured Second Place, adding to the institution’s achievements. The team comprised E. Rathish, S. Amaran, K. Guruprasath, B. Ajay, and M. Harish (VIII Semester B.Pharm); S. Gowtham Raj, K. Gunaseelan, S. Sathish, D. Rajeeshwaran, K. Abthahir, M. Sri Lakshmanan, S. Mohamed Rubayath, and P. Bharathi (VII Semester B.Pharm); V. Ramnath (III Semester B.Pharm); and M. Manikandan (D.Pharm II Year). The Men’s Handball Team secured Second Place, reflecting excellent coordination and team spirit. The team members were H. Salman Baris, S. Sheik Abdullah, C. Vasantharaman, M. Mohammed Thasrik, S. Madhavan, M. Hariharan, K. Guruprasath, K. Agilan, and B. Ajay (VIII Semester B.Pharm); K. Abhthagir and K. Ganesh (VII Semester B.Pharm); R. Ajay (V Semester B.Pharm); and P. Akash (I Semester B.Pharm). The Men’s Kabaddi Team secured Third Place, demonstrating strength, agility, and team coordination. The team included L. Rishi Gowtham, G. Chandrasekaran, S. Gokul, and S. Pradeep (VIII Semester B.Pharm); M. Sri Lakshman (VII Semester B.Pharm); M. Kishore Kumar, A. Raj Kumar, S. Aswin, and C. Vinoth Kanna (V Semester B.Pharm); P. Akash and B. Yogeshwaran (III Semester B.Pharm); B. Manoj and S. Priyadharshan (I Semester B.Pharm); J. Ishanth (D.Pharm I Year); and K. Nelson Kannan (Pharm D I Year). In individual events, S. Gowtham Raj (VII Semester B.Pharm) secured Second Place in Men’s Long Jump, further contributing to the institution’s overall achievement. Adding to the pride of the institution, the Women Staff Team emerged as Winners in Throwball and Tennikoit, showcasing excellent teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship. These accomplishments highlight the institution’s commitment to promoting excellence in sports alongside academics. The management and faculty members extend their heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their commendable performance.
