Sir Issac Newton College of Pharmacy, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, through its Institutional Innovation Cell (IIC), successfully organized an Awareness Programme on “Mental Health & Wellbeing for Students” on 22nd January 2026 at the Seminar Hall of the college. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about mental health, emotional wellbeing, stress management, anxiety, burnout, and the importance of self-care and seeking timely support. Around 200 students from Pharm.D, B.Pharm, and D.Pharm actively participated in the programme. The technical session was led by Mr. N. Srirangapani, M.Sc., M.Phil., B.Ed., District Level Resource Person, TNSRLM, Nagapattinam District, and was supported by Mr. M. K. Thangamani, Mrs. S. Priya, and Mrs. S. Sangeetha, who interacted with the students and shared practical guidance and motivational inputs. The programme was highly interactive and included pledge-taking, student interactions, and practical demonstrations, and it received very positive feedback from the participants, who found the session highly useful, informative, and motivating. The event stands as a meaningful initiative of the institution towards promoting mental health awareness, emotional wellbeing, and a positive and supportive learning environment among students.
